David Kraft has been involved with forensics since 1982 and one of the few coaches who has experience in high school, junior college as well as four-year university competition. As a free-lance consultant, Mr. Kraft has worked with some of the best high school teams in the country. A partial list of his clients includes:

A coach of 4 NFL National Champions as well as many finalists in every interpretive event, Mr. Kraft is also a theatrical director who was the co-founder and director of the Warm Body theatre company in Chicago. As a director, his most recent work was an original Living Newspaper done in the style made popular during the Federal Theatre Project of the 1930s. The show; “Free, Adult, Uncensored” had its US premier in Boston, Massachusetts and its World premier in Edinburgh, Scotland. The show was rewarded with excellent reviews and has been shown on Boston cable numerous times.

At the 2008 NFL National Tournament in Las Vegas, Mr. Kraft had the honor of coaching the 2nd and 3rd place finalists in Humorous Interpretation as well as the 2nd place and Final Round Champion in Dramatic Interpretation.

2006 was a particularly successful time for his clients. Three of the schools that Mr. Kraft works for won their state tournaments as teams. Trinity Prep, FL., Dowling Catholic, Iowa, and Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania.At the 2006 NFL tournament in Dallas, Texas, Mr. Kraft had the honor of having students in three final rounds:

1. Spencer McCurnin, Dowling Catholic, Iowa - National Champion in Humorous
2. Moira Frehr, Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania - 2nd Place, Dramatic
3. Bethany Schmidt/Gabe Gonzales, Trinity Prep., Florida – 3rd Place, DUO.

Other notable accomplishments:

• 19 Main Event Finalists at the NFL national tournament
• 4 consecutive champions in Dramatic at the Crestian Tournament 2004-2007
• 2 consecutive champions in Dramatic at the Blue Key Tournament 2004-2005
• 2 consecutive champions in Dramatic at the Harvard Tournament 2005-2006
• 4 Champions in DUO at the Harvard Tournament
• State Champions from 10 different states: (Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Louisiana, Massachusetts, New Mexico, Oregon, Pennsylvania)

Mr. Kraft is both Director of Interp at National Speaker’s Forum in Fort Lauderdale, FL, and the Director of InterProd, an interpretation camp for advanced students located at Emerson College, Boston, MA.
