Faculty: Chris Wilgos
Christopher Wilgos, Senior Faculty member, is the Upper School Director of Theater and Upper and Middle School Performing Arts Faculty member, at University School at Nova Southeastern University. A perennial instructor and lecturer at the National Debate Forum and InterProd for over 5 years, additionally Christopher brings to the forensics community over a decade of competition, judging, and coaching experience.
In his own days as a forensics competitor, he enjoyed the rank of finalist twice at the Harvard National Forensics Tournament and took the title of national champion in Duo Interpretation of Literature in Detroit in 1998. As a lecturer, coach, and instructor, Christopher has led nearly a dozen competitors to both the Harvard and the national final rounds in various interpretation events.
Last year, Christopher was finally able to bridge the small gap between Interpretation and the Theater when he was cast as Daniel in The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) at the Philadelphia Shakespeare Festival. He also appeared in the Festival’s production of Julius Caesar. Christopher has also appeared in several feature films including this past seasons In Her Shoes starring Cameron Diaz and Shirley McClaine, Unbreakable, Jersey Girl and The Sixth Sense. Christopher holds a BFA degree in acting from Syracuse University and the University of the Arts.
